Valdes 7 - Had very little to do, but looked comfortable enough. His kicking still needs work, though.
Alves 7.5 - Not overawed by Franck Ribery, and although the Frenchman did get the better of him a few times he had a relatively comfortable evening overall.
Marquez 6.5 - He looked less than assured with high balls and is, to my mind, reaching the end of the line at Barcelona. Still, a decent enough showing.
Pique 6 - His distribution is improving all the time. He had little to do defensively but blotted his copybook with a misguided offside attempt against Ze Roberto.
Puyol 9 - I've said it before and I'll say it again: he plays more like a left-back than some natural left-backs. A titan, who also prevented Ze Roberto from getting a goal back.
Xavi 8 - A typically effervescent Xavi shift with enough pace in his passing - and quick-thinking - to ruin Bayern.
Yaya Toure 7.5 - Clearly enjoyed the game despite facing little competition in the centre and can be pleased with his night's work.
Iniesta 6.5 - His usual self out on the left, which is to say consistent and occasionally very inventive. But when faced with goal, or drifting in the middle, he found his genius deserting him. Disappointing.
Henry 8.5 - An extremely energetic start that saw him attack and defend - yes, defend - with gusto and ability. Netted his 50th CL goal - his sole error was sliding one great chance just wide. Majestic otherwise.
Eto'o 8.5 - Often castigated for being selfish, his glance-and-pass for the first goal was superb. Then came the single-minded predatory sense for the second.
Messi 9 - A cool, cool finish and great positioning for the first goal. Left Lell looking for dead and should have won a penalty before adding a poacher's goal. A dazzling delight.

Butt 5 - Helpless for the first goal but did not commit himself well enough for the second. From then on it was tough times for the veteran 'keeper.
Oddo 4 - The best of the defenders in the early stages but he was quickly run ragged by an enigmatic Thierry Henry as the game drew on and struggled to relax. Iniesta tested him, too.
Breno 5.5 - Error-prone when Barcelona countered, which was often. Still, he improved in the second period.
Demichelis 5 - Looked less than comfortable and failed to maintain a coherent partnership with Breno. Poor in the pass.
Lell 3 - Completely lost his man for the first goal, and when that man's Lionel Messi you can't do that. Should have given away a penalty afterwards. Hopelessly out of his depth.
Schweingsteiger 5.5 - Largely anonymous in a central role at the start but he was one of the few threats as Bayern crumbled.
Ze Roberto 6.5 - Did not do enough in a tracked-back position to justify himself, but he was fairly impressive in Barcelona's half in the second period until he tired and was replaced.
Van Bommel 5.5 - Came looking for the ball regardless of who had it, but tenacity does not equal product. Tough-tackling, to put it politely.
Ribery 6 - A one-man recovery engine in the early stages who gave that right Barcelona flank a test when he saw the ball. Sadly for him this was not often enough, and he failed to find consistency, fading badly in the second half.
Altintop 4 - Lost the ball for the opening goal and was otherwise uninventive. Hooked at half time.
Toni 5 - Held the ball up well but could not spearhead any meaningful attack.

Ottl 4 - Very wasteful with the ball and gave it away, too. The exact opposite of what Bayern needed from one of their favourite sons.
